Information, not advice
The guides explain how processes generally work. The tools look things up, do arithmetic and lay out documents based only on what you enter; you make every decision about your case, including what to claim, whom to sue and what to file. The packet builder puts your own words into the official court forms. It does not check whether your claims are valid or your papers are complete, and you are responsible for reading and signing everything you file. Laws, rules, forms and court practices change, and every court has local rules. Before you rely on anything here, check it with the court clerk, a legal aid office or a lawyer.

We work to keep everything accurate and link to our sources, but we can't promise the site is complete, current or error-free. If you find a mistake, please tell us.

We link to courts, agencies and other sites for sources and help. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content.
